Issue #80  (How to Overcome Phone Addiction) 08/24/20

A Hacker News reader asks: How do you switch off from work, particularly when working from home?

Certainly a relevant question for those who have only started regularly working from home in the past 5 months or so. There's lots of discussion in the thread but the top comment is interesting and somewhat humorous:

Your life is like a game. In this game, you have different stats and you must increase each stat ... If all you do is spent all your time on Work, all the other stats will be lacking and ultimately you will have a weak character. Your work may be at 99/100, but your Sleep may be 20/100, or your relationship/family may be 40/100.

Video Games

There's more to the comment and responses, but it's interesting to think of our work/life balance in that context. To be honest, it should be our natural inclination to view the balance in that way, without the game analogy. But if that works for you, then go for it.
