About five years ago, a 30-year old user on Stack Exchange's The Workplace forum posted about
leaving a job over ergonomic reasons. The main reason she posted the thread is because she wants to know how honest she should be during the exit interview. Apparently she didn't inform them right away that she was leaving due to constant "wrist, elbow, shoulder, and back pain".
I'm guessing this sort of thing may happen a lot and a lot of workers will try to fight through it. Of course, there are always medical options like physiotherapy or something similar, which might be covered by work benefits.
By and large the respondents in the thread recommended that she definitely inform them of why she's leaving as there would be nothing to lose and possibly lots to gain.
How would you handle such a situation? If you're going through something similar, you might benefit from the advice.
