Here's a really quick productivity tip for Windows users who often use copy/paste for saving, researching, etc. I've been mainly a Windows user for 20+ years, so it's been useful for me to incorporate some kind of advanced copy/paste functionality.
In past versions of Windows (before Windows 10), as far as I know, there was no way to view a clipboard history. To do this, you'd have to download a clipboard manager app that saves all your "copied" items, so you can go back and view them.
Windows 10 and above, however, added the ability to view clipboard history. You can enable this by going to
Settings > System > Clipboard then turning on the setting for
"Clipboard History".
Enabling Clipboard History on Windows 10 or higher
Once that's enabled (which may be on by default; it seemed to be for me), you can view clipboard history by hitting Windows Key + V on your keyboard. This brings up a little overlay window that shows you the last 25 items you've copied to your clipboard.
A very useful feature, especially if you inadvertently forget to paste something that you previously copied and the only way to get it back is via the clipboard history.
