Tech Productivity

Issue #25  (Habits vs. Goals) 08/05/19

If working in tech and eating well has become a hard combination for you, you might benefit from the following Hacker News thread where the question is asked How do you control your diet while working at a tech company?

While there are a few unique bits of advice in there, I think most of what's discussed is fairly common health and eating advice. But regardless of the run-of-the-mill nature of the discussion, I think the reminders are good for anyone working at a desk job where diet and health are often much less prioritized compared to the work being done.

So check that out if you're looking for a healthy eating primer. (Of course, none of that should be taken as medical advice; see a medical professional before considering any major changes to health or diet.)

Now on to this week's hand-picked productivity links!

Tools & Apps

TLDR This - Chrome or Firefox extension, or use the online tool. Automatically summarize any article, text, document, web page, or essay in a click.

Popup Tab Switcher - Chrome extension that makes switching between tabs more convenient. Shows you a popup with recent active tabs when you press its shortcut (Alt + Y by default).

Free Time - A quick online tool to calculate and visualize 'free time' based on the selection of criteria.
