Issue #108  (Performing Under Pressure) 03/08/21

If you find Twitter is a big mess that's difficult to navigate or get value out of for work purposes, you'll enjoy this Tweet by Julian Shapiro that has a 2-minute video walk-through of how he makes Twitter more productive for him.

Make Twitter more Productive by Julian Shapiro

The most interesting part to me is his suggestion to change your location to a country that has a small population so you can avoid seeing all the garbage that Twitter thinks you should see in the "Trending" section. That tip alone would probably increase your productivity by 25%.

Now on to this week's hand-picked productivity links!

Articles & Resources

How To Trick Your Mind Into Performing Your Best Under Pressure - This is mainly about sports performance, but I think the concepts can be applicable to other things as well.

Split Keyboards Gallery - If you're in the market for an ergonomic keyboard, this page lets you filter the different types of split keyboards available.

The Modern Trap of Turning Hobbies Into Hustles - A nice reminder that we can do stuff purely for enjoyment and not feel pressure to turn it into a money-maker.

Stop Swiss Cheesing Your Calendar - The idea here is to give priority to actual work hours and not allow meetings and other appointments to crowd work into unproductive time slots.

Why You Should Practice Failure - I feel like the advice here would counteract the actual lessons it claims to produce, but I'm open to consider this.
