Issue #107  (How To Finish Your Hobby Project) 03/01/21

A user on Hacker News asked if there's a way to ad-block "we're using cookies" popups in a more universal way in browsers.

According to the top comment, this is possible using uBlock Origin.

  • Go to Settings > Filter Lists > Annoyances
  • Enable "EasyList Cookie"
Block cookie popups in uBlock Origin

I don't use uBlock Origin myself, but this might sway me in that direction. As far as other suggestions, you can read through the full thread. I think the best solution for this, as the next highest voted comment points out, would be for browsers to integrate this, but I'm not sure of the legal ramifications of that.
